The Sacred Scripture for the End of Kali Yuga
The Yuga Chakra symbolizes the cyclical nature of time, represented as a wheel with each cosmic age as its segment. We are currently living beyond the end of Kali Yuga, in the transitional period known as Yuga-Sandhya or Sangam-Yuga.
According to the Manusmriti, the lifespan of Kali Yuga is 432,000 years. However, the heinous sins of humanity curtail its span by 4,27,200 years, making it only 4,800 years in actual duration — and as revised by Mahapurush Achyutananda in Bhavishya Malika, 5,000 years.
This verse states that Satya Yuga commences after 4,000 years of Kali Yuga. The Yuga-Sandhyas wrap Kali Yuga at its beginning and end, each lasting 400 years. Hence: 4,000 + 400 + 400 = 4,800 years total.
Mahapurush Achyutananda, under divine guidance, revised the duration to 5,000 years:
Mahapurush Achyutananda states that Kali Yuga has a potential duration of 432,000 years, but due to the immoral deeds of humans the lifespan reduces to only five thousand years. Various Hindu calendars (Panjikas) confirm we are now in the 5,125th year of Kali Yuga — meaning Kali Yuga has already ended.
Since Kali Yuga has ended and we are in the transitional Yuga-Sandhya period, the Bhavishya Malika is particularly indispensable for navigating this transition and uplifting mankind from evil to righteousness:
Human beings, deceived by the illusions (maya) of this world, will be oblivious to the perils that will strike at the end of Kali Yuga. Even wise men will be under the thrall of this illusion, making grandiose claims that Kali Yuga is still in its infancy. The Bhavishya Malika exists to awaken humanity from this delusion.
The prophecies of revered sages like Mahapurush Achyutananda are immutable. Even if the sun were to rise in the west, or lotuses bloom atop mountains — the predictions of these great sages will remain eternally true.
