The 35 Sins of Kali Yuga

According to Bhavishya Malika, Kali Yuga has a potential duration of 432,000 years. However, the numerous sins committed by humans will accelerate the end of the yuga, reducing its lifespan to just 5,000 years. There are 35 categories of sins that cause this drastic reduction.

Patricide (killing of one's father)
Matricide (killing of one's mother)
Uxoricide (killing of one's wife)

How Many Years Each Sin Removes

In Dwapara Yuga, Arjuna asked Lord Shree Krishna: “O Lord, by which sinful deeds and by how much will the age of Kali Yuga be diminished?” Lord Krishna replied:

Purport

In this way, 427,000 years will be deducted from Kali Yuga's 432,000 years. Thus the age of Kali Yuga is reduced to just 5,000 years. As per the Shastras, the current year of Kali Yuga is the 5,125th year — meaning this Yuga has already ended.
