Sacred Malika Verses

Verses from Bhavishya Malika by the Panchasakha saints — foretelling the birth of Lord Kalki at Biraja Kshetra (Jajpur, Odisha), the sacred land of Maa Biraja Devi, in precise detail six centuries before the event.

Biraja Kshetra — The Sacred Birth Land

Maa Biraja Devi is the presiding goddess of Jajpur (ancient Jajnagar), Odisha — one of the 18 Maha Shakti Peethas of India. This sacred region on the bank of the Baitarani river is known as Biraja Kshetra, Linga Kshetra, Shaiva Kshetra and Nabhigaya Peetha.

The Panchasakha saints of Bhavishya Malika repeatedly identify this divine land as the birthplace of Lord Kalki in the Kali Yuga. Brahma himself performed the first sacred Yagna at this Adi Kshetra, and the land has been blessed by the eternal presence of Maa Biraja and countless sages.

"The land where the mountains disappeared due to the curse of Agastya Muni — on the southern side of the Kharasrota (Milk) river — this is the same area referred to as Sambal, and is the place where the Supreme Lord will take birth."
— Mahapurusha Achyutananda Das, Kali Yuga Malika

10 Sacred Verses on Kalki's Birthplace

These Odia-Sanskrit verses were spoken by Supreme Lord Jagannath to the Panchasakha saints of Odisha and written under the sacred guidance of Lord Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu — the Last Scripture of Sanatana Dharma, prophesying with remarkable precision the circumstances, location, and family of Lord Kalki's birth in this age.

Śūnya Saṁhitā, Chapter 44Mahāpuruṣa Achyutānanda Dās
Birth of Kalki
emnanta ghora tama dekhī harī |
kalaṅkī rupe hebe avatarī ||
baikuṇṭha tejīṇa śrī jagannātha |

viṣṇujasā bipra gaṅgā tīra re |
tāra nārī jasobantī garbha re ||
dvādaśa māsare garbhū janmīṇa |
jāta karma sārī se kīchī dina ||

Seeing the rampant darkness of vices in Kali Yuga, Lord Vishnu will decide to descend to earth in His Kalki Avatar (incarnation). Leaving His abode at Vaikuntha, the Lord will take birth in a village named Sambal. He will be born to a Brahmin who sings the glories of Lord Vishnu and resides near the bank of the Ganga (River Baitarani is known as the Gupt Ganga of Odisha). The Lord will take birth from the womb of Jasobanti, the Brahmin's consort. He will be born in the 12th month of pregnancy, and a few days thereafter, the natal rituals will be performed.

Mahāmahimā Pada Ṭīkā SāgaraMahāpuruṣa Achyutānanda Dās
Father: Vishnu Sharma · Mother: Jashobanti

janama labhibe gupatare thibe kehi na cinhibe jana |
bhakata māṇaku adr̥śya hoibe kāhari na thībā jñāna ||

The Lord will be born to a Brahmin devotee of Lord Vishnu named Vishnu Sharma, and his consort Jashobanti, the former residing in the northern part of Sambhala, while the latter hailing from the central Lakshmi Varaha region (on the other side of River Vaitarani). The Lord will take birth secretly and nobody will be able to recognize Him. He will conceal His identity even from His devotees, and for a few years, everyone will remain oblivious to the fact that the Supreme Lord has indeed taken birth on the earth.

Terajanama SaraṇaMahāpuruṣa Achyutānanda Dās
End of Kali Yuga
kalaṅkī ra sīmā kāla pūri gale kalakī viṣṇujasā pure |
sambala grāmare jāta hoithibe mleccha saṁghāra kālare |

Once the short lifespan of Kali Yuga gets over, the Lord will be born in village Sambal, in the house of a virtuous Brahmin who sings the Lord's glories — at the time of the destruction of the Mlecchas (forces of adharma). Sage Achyutanand Das clearly states that Kali Yuga will last only about 5,000 years — not the full 432,000 years — due to accumulated sins.

— Cumbaka Mālikā, adhyāya 1, śloka 40

Sage Achyutanand Das, in 'Balmikikalpa', repeatedly asks sage Valmiki to rest assured that the Supreme Lord will be born in Utkala (ancient name for Odisha). In Chumbaka Malika, sage Sishu Ananta tells the Lord that He will take birth in Odisha as Lord Kalki — annihilating the sinners, protecting His devoted devotees, and restoring righteousness on earth.

✦ Maa Biraja — Biraja Kshetra
śuṇa he bāranga kahibā se raṅga prabhu abatāra sthāna |
śrī birajā kṣetre janma labhibe ananta miśra gr̥heṇa ||

"O my disciple Baranaga, listen — I will tell you about the birthplace of the Lord. At Śrī Birājā Kṣetre (the sacred land of Maa Biraja), will He be born, in the clan of Ananta Mishra."

This is the most explicit verse naming Lord Kalki's birthplace. Biraja Kshetra is Jajpur (Jajnagar), Odisha — the holy land presided over by Maa Biraja Devi, one of the 18 Maha Shakti Peethas. The verse also identifies the birth family: the clan of Ananta Mishra. Just as Shri Ramachandra's clan is called the Surya (Ikshvaku) clan, the clan in which Lord Kalki is born is the clan of Ananta Mishra.

✦ The Linga Kshetra / Biraja Kshetra Region

— Brāhmaṇī Kalpa

Sage Achyutananda describes the birthplace region: to the south of the Kṣīra Nadī (Milk River / Kharasrota) lies the land called Liṅga (Linga Kshetra / Biraja Kshetra). Brahma established this place by performing a Yagna here, which is why it is called the Adi Kshetra — the first sacred place. For the benefit of devotees, Mata Biraja Devi is eternally present here. This same area is also known as Biraja Kshetra, Linga Kshetra, Shaiva Kshetra, Jajnagar, or Sambal — and it is here that Lord Kalki will be born.

The Supreme Lord will take birth in the human form as Kalki in Utkala (Odisha) and there, surrounded by sages and saints, He will manifest His eternal divine glory and brilliance. His sacred presence will illuminate the holy land, drawing devotees from all directions.

08
Brahma Kalpa SaṁhitāMahāpuruṣa Achyutānanda Dās
Lord's First-Person Declaration
mu jāta viṣṇujasā ghare | martyamaṁḍala oḍiśā re

In this remarkable verse, the Lord Himself declares in first person: "I am born in the house of Vishnu Sharma, in Odisha on the mortal plane." This direct first-person declaration by the Supreme Lord through the pen of Achyutananda Das leaves absolutely no room for doubt about the birth location of Lord Kalki.

✦ Born in Nabhigaya Peetha (Biraja Kshetra)

The Supreme Lord Chakradhara (Vishnu / Kalki) will be born in the family of Vishnu Sharma in the Sambal village of Gaya (Nabhigaya Peetha located in the Biraja Kshetra of Jajpur). There He will perform austerity and tapasya. The Nabhigaya Peetha is a sacred site within Biraja Kshetra — the very land over which Maa Biraja eternally presides.

Signs Before Kalki's Appearance
hoiba anīti jehun sakāla ārata
kalankī prakāśa hebe oḍiśā desata

When men are ceaselessly engaged in countless evil deeds — relentless butchering of animals, cow slaughter, insensitivity at its peak, killing of women, children, elderly, and even parents — at such a time of extreme moral debasement, Lord Kalki will descend to earth and take birth in Odisha to eradicate the darkness and establish Satya Yuga. These signs described 600 years ago are visible in the world today.

Prepare for the Dawn of Satya Yuga

The prophecies are unfolding. Practice Tri-Sandhya, study Bhavishya Malika, and take shelter under the Lord's lotus feet before the great transformation begins.
